Naya Nosara is designed as a small village rather than a single big house. Six stand-alone units are spread through gardens and old-growth trees, connected by paths and open common spaces.
King Rooms

What kind of retreats does Naya host?
Naya is a small retreat venue in Nosara, Costa Rica, made for close-knit groups of about 6 to 12 people. Six stand-alone casitas, an infinity pool, a full kitchen and an open-air yoga shala, all for your group.
We host yoga retreats, wellness and meditation retreats, surf and yoga retreats, and movement and dance retreats. You bring the program; we look after the venue, the food and the logistics. See the retreats we're hosting.
Can I host a yoga or wellness retreat at Naya?
Yes. Naya is the venue and you lead the practice: your group meets in the open-air shala for yoga, breathwork, meditation and workshops.
We can arrange what your guests need around it, such as a yoga class or private session, massage, sound healing and other treatments, with practitioners we work with in Nosara. Tell us about your retreat.
What's included when you book the whole property?
The whole property is yours: all six rooms, the gardens, the pool, the shala and the open-air dining area, with staff on site 24 hours a day, full servicing of the rooms and grounds, and laundry.
For retreat leaders we add a packing list built around your program, an arrival guide for your group and a WhatsApp group for everyone, before and during the stay.
Catering, transport and activities are quoted separately, around what your group needs, in one clear quote.
Can we hold a wedding or a private event at Naya?
Yes. Naya has hosted weddings, and it is an intimate venue in Nosara for private events, celebrations, concerts and workshops.
The open-air shala and the poolside dining area become your ceremony and party spaces, and we can help with catering, event management and entertainment.
Amplified music stops at 10pm, because Naya is in a quiet neighborhood. Evening events usually run from 5pm to 10pm. See events and food.
What are the rooms like?
Each of the six rooms is a stand-alone casita with its own entrance, private veranda, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and ceiling fan. King Rooms also have a desk and a mini fridge.

What makes Naya an eco hotel?
Every old-growth tree on the property was kept, and the casitas were built around them, so there is still a canopy overhead for the monkeys.
Gray water is recycled through the gardens. The cleaning products, and everything in your room, are biodegradable. Organic waste goes back to the jungle floor, and filtered drinking water lets you refill your own bottle instead of buying plastic.
Is Naya a good place for families with kids?
Yes. Children love the pool, and at low tide Playa Pelada, a 5-minute walk away, has shallow tide pools where small children can float and play.
We have a high chair, and we can almost always find a crib if you ask before you arrive.
How do I get to Naya, and can you arrange the transfer?
Most guests fly into Liberia (LIR), about 2.5 hours by car from Nosara. San José (SJO) is at least 6 hours away.
Marguerite arranges airport transfers herself. Our driver meets you at the airport, so you don't need to rent a car or find a driver from abroad.
